How it works

Build, present and analyse schedules in one workspace

TideLine turns a schedule idea, a P6 export or a project description into a professional timeline, strategic roadmap, EV status report or forensic evidence pack — all from the same programme model.

01

Import — or start from a blank timeline

Load Primavera P6 XER/PMXML, Microsoft Project XML, CSV/JSON, or open a blank TideLine project and build from scratch. When you only have a printed or PDF schedule, extract it into a structured table and use it for delay analysis even without the native XER. For forensic work, take immutable snapshots straight from P6 or MS Project files so every later finding is reproducible from the original export.

  • P6 XER/PMXML, MS Project XML, CSV, JSON and PDF schedules
  • Build schedules from scratch or from a description
  • Immutable snapshots for forensic comparison
02

Build board-ready schedules, roadmaps and plans

The Schedule module is a full CPM workspace — activities, WBS, milestones, FS/SS/FF/SF logic, calendars, constraints and progress — but its real strength is presentation. Swimlanes, group codes, seven live Gantt layouts, conditional formatting and bespoke task-table styling turn the same model into executive roadmaps, strategic plans, small-project timelines and EV-backed status reports without rebuilding anything in PowerPoint.

  • Executive timelines, strategic roadmaps and project plans
  • Earned-value tracking for high-level programme status
  • Seven layouts + custom colours, bars, fonts and table formats

03

Score quality and performance

Assess the programme against five industry standards — DCMA 14-Point, GAO, AACE RP-90R-19, NDIA PASEG and USACE/NAVFAC — with weighted metrics you tune per project type, and warn/fail limits for duration and float you define yourself. Metrics adds earned value (SPI, CPI, EAC), S-curves and productivity trends; Risk runs Monte Carlo simulation on duration uncertainty.

  • 5 quality standards with custom metric weights
  • Earned value, S-curves and forecast completion
  • Monte Carlo schedule risk analysis
04

Manage design deliverables with built-in EVM

The Design module turns deliverables into a progress-controlled workflow. Add deliverables, apply preset or custom rules of credit, and link each rule to schedule activities so progress rolls up automatically to activities, work packages and the overall programme. This gives you full earned-value management for the design stage — percent complete, BCWS, BCWP, ACWP, SPI and CPI — without forcing the design team into a construction-style CPM model.

  • Deliverables, rules of credit and schedule activity links
  • Roll-up progress to activities and work packages
  • Full EVM for the design stage (SPI, CPI, BCWP, ACWP)
05

Simulate schedule and cost risk

Run Monte Carlo simulation over the live CPM network with both duration and cost uncertainty modelled together. Apply three-point distributions, correlate related activities, register discrete risk events with probability and impact, then read P10–P90 completion dates and cost outcomes. Tornado charts and criticality rankings show which activities and risks are actually driving the tail, so you size contingency to a real confidence target and focus mitigation on the right drivers.

  • Joint schedule + cost Monte Carlo simulation
  • Tornado charts ranking time and cost drivers
  • Contingency sizing to P-value confidence targets
06

Analyse delay with windows analysis

Compare two P6 schedules — or a chain of snapshots — activity by activity across a window. TideLine identifies driving paths, traces logic back to the first driving activities, and lets you filter the top critical paths you want to focus on. Assign responsibility, delay events, cause and claim type to each finding, then group activities into high-level summary schedules that explain the delay story while preserving full traceability to the underlying proof. Push the grouped window directly into the Schedule module to build a three-band comparison, continue the analysis, and generate the report exhibit.

  • Compare two schedules and identify driving paths
  • Trace logic back to first driving activities and filter top critical paths
  • Group, assign responsibility and push to a 3-band schedule comparison

Let AI read documents and build the evidence

The Extractor reads PDFs, emails, RFIs, site instructions, meeting minutes, drawings and specifications, then pulls dated events, deliverables and delay evidence into a structured register. The AI Advisor answers questions against your live project, writes schedule-health, delay and executive reports, and can draft a full CPM schedule from a plain-language description and push it into the Schedule module.

  • PDF and document extraction into dated events
  • AI reports grounded in your actual project data
  • Text-to-schedule drafting, straight into the Gantt
08

Export the deliverable

Produce presentation-grade Gantt boards, formatted task tables, PNG exhibits and editable PPTX packs with layout, bar, colour and typography controls. Every exhibit traces back to an immutable snapshot and a logged analysis step — the traceability an expert report needs for adjudication, arbitration or court.

  • Editable PowerPoint, high-resolution PNG, PDF
  • Formatted task-grid and lane-view exports
  • Full audit trail from snapshot to exhibit

The eight modules behind the workflow

TideLine starts as a powerful schedule builder, then layers on forensic analysis. The same model drives executive roadmaps, small project plans, EV status reports, quality scores, risk simulation and claims-ready evidence.
